Free State Education Department has again come under fire for not ensuring that a teacher it suspended for racial slurs is kept away from children. On Friday the EFF marched to Trompsburg Primary School calling for the removal of Lenard MacKay. He was suspended in 2013 after he was found displaying the old South African flag and pictures of monkeys alongside Julius Malema’s picture in his classroom.
A Human Rights Commission investigation also revealed that Mckay had uttered racial slurs at pupils.
