Lightview Plus is a cool WordPress plugin which allows you to present images and Youtube videos on your WordPress blog in a unique and attractive manner. It is based on Nick Stakenburg’s popular ”Lightview” image modification plugin.
Once it is installed on your WordPress site, Lightview Plus automatically modifies all image and video links so that they open with Lightview.
With Lightview Plus, you can display images and videos in a cool hover box making your WordPress blog look attractive and fresh when compared to most other WordPress blogs and websites.
It uses the Prototype Framework and Scriptaculous Effects Library.

The Lightview Plus is a great visual enhancement plugin for WordPress. It represents a significant improvement over Nick Stakenburg’s Lightview and activates Lightview for viewing video files in your WordPress blog.
The earlier versions of Lightview Plus were plagued with scripting errors and installation problems. But these problems have been fixed with the release of Lightview Plus version 2.0. The latest version of Lightview Plus allows for seamless integration of Nick Stakenburg’s Lightview into your WordPress website/ blog post.
The only problem with Lightview Plus is its inability to play mp4 and dat video files in Lightview as current video support is limited to Youtube, Vimeo and blip.tv video files.
