October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), a time to raise awareness about disability employment issues and to celebrate the important contributions made by Americans with disabilities. The NDEAM theme for 2016 is #InclusionWorks, which “seeks to inspire social media awareness of workers with disabilities.”
At the USPTO, nearly six percent of our employees currently self-identify as having a disability. While this is the highest number we’ve ever achieved in recent years, we must strive for more.
