SimpleReach The Slide Review
SimpleReach’s The Slide is a free plugin that will help you increase your site’s page views. Unlike its competitors, this plugin focuses on your articles, as it recommends related articles on a widget that “slides”, maybe now you know where the developer got its name. It works this way: It slides a discreet window in the bottom right of the screen, and it comes with a post recommendation related to your post. It works perfectly with WordPress and other sites by manually installing the code.
Usability
I have seen a couple of websites using this plugin, so i decided to give it a shot, and here are my findings. After running The Slide in around 2 weeks, and it really works as advertised. I get like, 4% increase in page views though this doesn’t mean that my site’s traffic has gone up by 4%, for there might be users might that have clicked on another link. Well..i guess 4% increase in traffic is good, considering that The Slide is free, easy to install, and most importantly – it doesn’t slow down pages because the javascript loads asynchronously. You can see your reports/analytics just like Google Analytics at their Website (SimpleReach.com). What’s cool about this plugin is that you can easily customize the slide’s look and feel the way you want it. And more importantly, it is for FREE!

Conclusion
There are lots of slideshow plugins online, and yes – they are all the same. SimpleReach’s The Slide is very different as the slideshow is not within a post but in the bottom right corner.
I used it on another site than this as I do not want it to mess with my newsletter signup.
Anyways, the plugin does its job BUT in my opionion it is not what you would normally consider a slideshow plugin. Hard to decide though what it is… a user engagement plugin?
Well, check it out as it is quite neat.

I am using UpPerv, I am going to try this now. Thanks.
I was wondering why you aren’t using the simple slide product? Thanks.
