There are signs of minor improvements in the job market for young Koreans.
The Education Ministry and the Korean Educational Development Institute says the overall employment rate for people who graduated this year from either a vocational college, four-year university or graduate school — rose to 67-and-a-half percent.
While the overall gain is half a percentage point from 2015…. negative numbers from the data came from graduates of four-year college… which went down to 64-point-four percent.
A closer look reveals the overall higher digits were driven mostly by those working abroad, freelancing or working for start-ups… as opposed to finding full-time work in Korea.
