지난해 고등교육기관 졸업자 취업률 3년 만에 소폭 상승
There are signs of slight improvements in the job situation for young Koreans.
According to data from Korea’s Education Ministry and the Korean Educational Development Institute, the overall employment rate for people who graduated this year from either a vocational college, four-year university or graduate school — rose to sixty-seven point five percent.
That’s a gain of half a percentage point from 2015.
The only negative numbers came from graduates of four-year college… down one tenth of a percent to 64-point-4.
A closer look reveals the uplifting digits were driven mostly by those working abroad, freelancing or working for start-ups… as opposed to finding full-time work in Korea.
