What to do if you are unemployed or searching for a new job opportunity?

1. Make looking for a job your job.
Search classifieds on Craigslist and others and respond to the ads.
Make sure you write something specific in your cover letter to each individual job post.
Make sure you follow the instructions for responding to that ad to a T.
Follow up on responses, but dont act desperate. Remember people want what they cant have balance this and make it seem (act) like you are in demand and trying to decide on the best opportunity for YOU. Step 2 here is going to become the reason why you do not necessarily NEED the job.
2. Start your own business.
Offer your services on the internet.
Post ads on Craigslist, OLX, and e-mail me for others these are free.
If you cannot afford a website go to http://www.wordpress.com and set up a free blog.
You can even spend on a Domain name at http://www.godaddy.com and point that domain name to your blog (its called domain forwarding).
Get 1 client. Your first client will be your beginning at a new career and a new way of life literally.
That client will lead to more clients. It will also build your confidence, which will make it that much easier to get new clients. People can hear the confidence in your voice when they speak with you. They can also hear any lack of confidence so get excited about what you are doing and the confidence will come out naturally. Read my article on Passion at http://www.sethdavid.com.
Tell all of your friends and family, neighbors, and everyone you can about your new business venture. This will also help to get you excited about it.
Get free business cards at Vista Print, or spend a few dollars if you can afford and either way custom design some nice ones. You can easily do this with MS Publisher, or MS Word. They even have templates you can use that make it easy. Hand them out to everyone you see!
