쉴 수 없는 노년…75세 이상 고용률, OECD 1위
South Korea is ranked high on the list of OECD countries for having some of the most number of elderly workers.
The high rate of senior employment is attributed to the lackluster pension system and the need to keep working even after retirement to earn household income.
The latest OECD figures showed that in 2014 the employment of seniors over the age of 65 stood at over 31 percent, … the second highest after Iceland among the 34 member states.
The rate of employment for seniors over 75 years of age was the highest in the OECD at 19-point-two percent.
