The ILO’s TREE (Training for Rural Economic Empowerment) and Quality Improvement in Informal Apprenticeship (QIA) methodologies have been successfully implemented in about half of Zimbabwe’s 75 districts. Over 10,000 young men and women have benefited from the roll out making them self or wage employed. In addition, around 1,500 master crafts persons are graduates of QIA with their income predicted to increase by 10% from baseline.
