For Friday December 4, TheStreet will highlight a string of economic reports coming out. In the morning, we get the employment situation report along with the international trade data. Then at 1 p.m. Eastern, we get the Baker Hughes rig count. A couple of Fed officials will be speaking at the Fed policy forum in Philadelphia. We begin the day with Philadelphia Fed head Patrick Harker, followed by St. Louis Fed head James Bullard and Minneapolis Fed head Naranyana Kocherlakota. The key economic report many investors will be focusing on is the November jobs report. The Fed will be closely eyeing this since it’s the final piece of economic data they’ll get before deciding whether they should raise interest rates. Additionally, there’s one major company reporting earnings. Before the market opens we get the latest financial results from Big Lots (BIG), the discount retailer that sells everything from food to furniture. TheStreet’s U-Jin Lee reports from Wall Street.
